Biography

I was raised on a small farm in New Mexico, with three brothers.  I paid my way through college at Texas Tech University, working as an auto mechanic. After graduating from Texas Tech University in 1989, with a Masters Degree in Accounting, specialization in taxation, I began my career with Arthur Andersen.  During this phase of my career, I specialized in various industries including healthcare, non-profit, manufacturing, real estate, and individual taxation.  I stayed with Arthur Andersen for almost nine years before leaving, to start my own accounting practice.  My wife and I started our family together, about 6 years into my employment with Arthur Andersen, however we soon discovered that it would fit my family life a little better, if I left the rigors of “Big 5” accounting.
